I have finally reached my due date and YES I am still very pregnant, despite all my best efforts.
I cleaned the house nested for about 3 hours while listening to 90's music, I then took a very long and uncomfortable walk and stopped by my local CVS to pick up some Castor oil.
I bought into the old wives tale of Castor oil inducing labour and guzzled 2oz of the disgusting stuff, only to endure a horrible belly ache later on.
Who knows if any of this will work, but I am definitely not finishing off that bottle of Castor oil. YUCK!
Have a fabulous weekend, and if baby Llambok decides not to join us this weekend, I'll be back on Monday with another bump update.
SO exciting - hang in there, only a few more days :)
ReplyDeleteLove your bump!

Best way to get her out, is how you made her!! I swear on this! I didn't start dilating until the day my husband came home for R&R. and I had our son a few days later!!
ReplyDeleteLots of dancing and lots of sex! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm loving mint and coral at the moment. I wonder if they'd go well together.
hahah castor oil do work, :) but you need to "suck it up" and drink the whole bottle! lol orange juice makes it a little easier to handle!!, you will get a very upset tummy, and spend the day in the bathroom, but thats how its suppose to work, after there is nothing else to "come out" contractions should start! at least it did with me!! god luck hope she comes soon!! best of luck!
ReplyDeleteYou look great! Can't wait to hear the name of baby Llambok! Good luck to you :)
ReplyDeleteYou'll forget about all this waiting the minute she's in your arms! I hope these next few days go by quickly for you. Eagerly awaiting the "welcome to the world baby" post!
ReplyDeleteI have never, ever heard of drinking the WHOLE bottle of castor oil. Just two ounces. The whole bottle sounds pretty awful, plus I would not be interested in having issues with my bowels during labor! You could probably mix it with some juice. Juice can cause tummy troubles as well and move things along, if you know what I mean.
ReplyDeletePeople suggest some pretty crazy things to me at work! Someone told me to go bowling.
Good luck :) I'm due tomorrow, but don't have high hopes for going into labor this weekend unfortunately.
Fingers crossed she comes over the weekend! :)

Oh, please don't do any more castor oil. I'm a doula and it's the last thing I recommend because it makes you feel awful, and there's nothing worse than being in labor *and* having an upset stomach. I'm trying to be patient and just get on with my life, though I am soooo uncomfortable. Hopefully our girls arrive soon!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting!!:) I will cross my fingers for baby's arrival this weekend. Make sure u don't exhaust urself before the labour, I'm sure u will need all the energy then. Best of luck! Its funny how excited I feel for u and I've never even heard of u before I found ur blog a few weeks ago:b
ReplyDeleteNot much longer!!! I have enjoyed reading your posts, and your comments on my blog as we went through this journey together!! ;-) Very soon you will have that sweet baby in your arms!! Good luck this week...I will be keeping up with you and waiting to hear the announcement!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCannot wait to hear the news...good luck!
ReplyDeleteI was 41 weeks and 7 days pregnant the day my daughter was born. It's exhausting. Good luck!
